This is a good Raising Cane's location. I like that they support A&M athletics. Their chicken fingers are top notch, and so is their toast. My personal favorite is the 3-finger meal.

So if you have bad tummy pains
And when you go #2, it rains
You ate some bad fried chicken
And alas, now you're brickin'
But at least it was from Rasing Cane's!
We were happy that Raising Cane's had their lobby open and was willing to serve us in the middle of the night because we were starving. The chicken tenders were fine and the sauce was good. The service was kind of nice other than a couple of things... one which was that they were complaining about people coming into their lobby late at night but not in a really serious way... and perhaps more worryingly is that they askd for Barbie's name and she said Barbie and she said sorry we don't accept nicknames. I mean in what world do you assume that's not her real name? She even was wearing it around her neck. And don't take yourselves so seriously lol.
Anyway, she showed her ID and then she used her nickname but seriously. That's a little bit too much.
However the chicken came out amazingly so I'm giving them 5 anyway. Plus the girl serving us and asking for ID (lol) was hot AF. -

I had never had Cane's or Layne's until today, so I figured that I would do a double feature comparison between the two in one review. Here it goes!
Cane's:
Better Chicken- the chicken was quite tender; KFC quality even.
Better Sauce- the sauce was a pleasant surprise. Think 'fry sauce' with some more salt and pepper.
Better Fries- so crispy, but not much of an edge here. Some of the worst fast food fries I've had.
Worse garlic bread- the garlic bread was baguette style and was just meh.
Layne's:
Worse Chicken- little pellets don't make for a hardy meal. The chicken here can be compared to McNuggets.
Worse sauce- disgusting. Too many spices.
Worse fries- not as crispy; same nasty style.
Better garlic bread- woooo! Winner winner... the garlic bread was exactly what the doctor ordered.
Due to the fact that both of these restaurants sucked, but weren't the WORST QUALITY, and that Cane's is objectively better than Layne's, Layne's is a solid 2 and Cane's is a solid 3. There's worse food out there, but not by much. Considering the value at hand, the 'king' KFC would place at a 4 above these. -

Stopped for dinner at Raising Canes in College Station across from Texas A&M University on my way home from Temple. I had the 4 piece chicken strip dinner and it was far better than I had expected it to be. I have a couple of Canes close to my house but this is the first time I've sampled their chicken. I'm keeping Cane's at the top of my list of fast food restaurants to go for a quick bite.

The chicken, toast, and fries are fine, but the sauce is amazing! This location is great in the drive thru lane, very quick
